Frequently Asked Questions

How should I prepare for a first meeting?

Reflect on what is important to you from a financial perspective. Be ready to share your past experiences and concerns. Try to have the best idea about your current and future spending. Be prepared to discuss your willingness to take risk.

There’s no need to come to the meeting clear about answers to these questions. Just allow the thought process to begin. We will work through these and other questions together.

How do I know my money assets are safe at EverNest?

We use large, well known independent custodians: Charles Schwab and Fidelity. We don’t take custody of your assets. Rather, our role is to provide financial planning and make investment decisions.

Do I have to move all my accounts to Schwab or Fidelity?

No. For clients in need of brokerage and custodial services who would like us to invest on their behalf, we recommend Schwab. However, we do not require use of a particular custodian.

We can also advise on outside assets, such as those held with state 529 plan providers and in employer retirement plans.
